At the Private Orthopedics Clinic Dr. Thomas Pauly, we collaborate with radiologists to use computed tomography (CT, targeted method to localize the source of disease) to assist us in the treatment of acute and chronic back pain.

In this context, we use strict criteria to determine whether CT is indicated, and if so, we implement it in a targeted way so as to keep the radiation exposure as low as possible for the patient.

During minimal invasive therapy, anti-inflammatory or cartilage-stabilizing/cauterizing drugs are injected at selected nerve roots or vertebral joints, which lead to a reduction of pain in the short or medium term.

All pain therapy methods are accompanied by muscle-stabilizing measures, often combined with supplemental medication-based therapy.
